Information Collection And Use
While using the Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that we may use to contact or identify you, and help make your Qeepsake experience more personal. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, name, phone number and other information from which your identity may be discernible ("Personal Information").
Any information you provide about your child, including first name and birthdate, is requested to improve the quality of the Service (e.g. sending you better questions).
Data you provide to Qeepsake, in the form of journal entries, is private to you, provided that Qeepsake may disclose such information to the following recipients: 1) authorized Qeepsake team members (see Internal Confidentiality Policy section) in order to provide account maintenance, customer service, enhancements, and other related activities, and 2) Facebook, if you have enabled Facebook Messenger. Qeepsake members utilizing Qeepsake via Facebook Messenger are also subject to Facebook’s Terms of Service, found here.
Connecting your Google Photos Account with Qeepsake:
Qeepsake’s integration with Google Photos allows you to add your photo(s) from Google Photos to Qeepsake. To make this work, Qeepsake needs permission from you to access your Google Photos. If you opt in by connecting your Google Photos and Qeepsake accounts, Qeepsake will be able to access, use, store, and share photos, video, and metadata from your Google Photos account in the following ways:
By authenticating Qeepsake to your Google Photos account, you give Qeepsake permission to show your Google Photos to you inside the Qeepsake app.
By authenticating Qeepsake to your Google Photos account, you give Qeepsake permission to select specific Google Photos images or video so you can attach them to a Qeepsake journal entry of yours. You’ll always choose exactly which images or video are added to Qeepsake and which Qeepsake journal entries they are attached to.
By authenticating Qeepsake to your Google Photos account, you give Qeepsake permission to create and store a copy of the specific Google Photos images or video (and their corresponding data) you have attached to a Qeepsake journal entry. These selected images, video, and data will be saved on Qeepsake’s servers as part of your Qeepsake account.
Qeepsake will never use your Google Photos images or video for any other purpose, and you can opt-out by disconnecting your Google Photos and Qeepsake accounts at any time. You can delete a specific image or video from your Qeepsake account, or request that all of your data be deleted from Qeepsake’s servers.
Qeepsake will never share any data from your Google Photos account with any third party.
Security and encryption
The Qeepsake website uses 256-bit SSL encryption, which means your interaction with Qeepsake through the Qeepsake website is private.

Internal Confidentiality Policy
Qeepsake has a strict confidentiality policy within our organization, and all Qeepsake staff members who have access to journal information have passed a criminal background check and sex-offender registry check.
We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
In addition, we may use third party services such as, but not limited to, Google Analytics and Mixpanel that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service's functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
The Application may by default access your Facebook basic account information, including your name, email, gender, birthday, current city, and profile picture URL, as well as other information that you choose to make public. We may also request access to other permissions related to your account, such as friends, check-ins, and likes, and you may choose to grant or deny us access to each individual permission. We may request access or permission to and track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the Application, to provide location-based services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.
Mobile Access Device
We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s [bluetooth, calendar, camera, contacts, microphone, reminders, sensors, SMS messages, social media accounts, storage,] and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.
Mobile Device Data
Device information such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country, location, and any other data you choose to provide.
We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or the Application. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive.
We use "cookies" to assist in data collection and to track Service usage and trends to help us better serve you. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.
Do Not Track Disclosure
We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser or mobile operating system to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.
You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser or mobile operating system.
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these services on our behalf, and our third party service providers are obligated to refrain from using or disclosing your Personal Information for any other purpose.
We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.
Compliance With Laws
We may disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court-appointed receiver or other comparable legal process. We may also disclose your Personal Information in the event that we, in good faith, believe such disclosure is appropriate to cooperate in investigations of fraud or other illegal activity.

Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a Child has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. With that in mind, below are a few privacy tips:
- Use a nickname for your child’s journal instead of his or her real name.
- Use your initials instead of your full name on your account.
- Use an email address for your Qeepsake account that doesn’t contain your name.
Your California Privacy RightsCalifornia Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits customers who are California residents and who have provided Qeepsake with “personal information” (as that term is defined in Section 1798.83) to request certain information about the disclosure of that information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
